Skylark North

Skylark North Glider Flight School, located at Mountain Valley Airport in Tehachapi, California, is a full-service glider flight school dedicated to providing top-notch flight training. Our FAA certified instructors offer personalized lessons, scheduling about one lesson per week, with each lesson averaging three flights. Students typically solo after 10-12 flight hours and can achieve a Private Pilot Certificate with approximately $8,000-$9,000 in total costs. We also offer additional ratings and support for specialized courses. With a range of gliders available for rental, Skylark North is renowned for its friendly staff, excellent equipment, and ideal soaring conditions. Open Wednesday through Monday, we provide a comprehensive and supportive environment for aspiring pilots.
