About Us

Cascade Aviation, operating as the Whidbey Island Flying Club, has a rich history dating back to 1972 as the Whidbey Island Navy Flying Club. Established to provide general aviation training for Navy pilots, it was resurrected in 1980 and later relocated to Skagit County Airport in 2013. Under the leadership of Ken Davies and other founding pilots, Cascade Aviation has grown into the largest flying club and flight school in northwest Washington. The school offers comprehensive flight and ground training, including FAA-approved private pilot ground school, and a diverse fleet of aircraft for training and rental. With a focus on safety, comfort, and personalized instruction, Cascade Aviation provides resources such as scholarships and discounted club rates to support students in achieving their aviation goals. Join Cascade Aviation to embark on a journey of flight training and lifelong aviation experiences.
