This groundbreaking collaboration aims to provide passengers arriving in Italy with a seamless and advanced travel experience like never before.

The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Sky Team and Trenitalia marks a significant milestone in the realm of intermodal travel. Under this agreement, alliance members will now have the ability to book flights and utilize the high-speed Frecciarossa train services throughout Italy in a single reservation. Through this partnership, SkyTeam frequent flyers can earn and redeem miles on eligible Frecciarossa rail itineraries, while members of CartaFRECCIA, Trenitalia’s loyalty program, will have the opportunity to earn and utilize points when flying with SkyTeam.

Moreover, the introduction of SkyPriority services at select railway stations, catering to elite members from both SkyTeam and Trenitalia, promises to elevate the overall travel experience for passengers. Trenitalia’s extensive network, offering direct connections to and from 23 Italian airports, including SkyTeam’s hub at Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO), further solidifies the convenience and accessibility of this collaboration.
