New Flight Route from Copenhagen to Nuuk by Scandinavian Airlines

Pilotcenter.net News has announced exciting news for travel enthusiasts – Scandinavian Airlines is set to launch new direct flights from Copenhagen, Denmark, to Nuuk, Greenland, starting in the summer of 2025. The airline shared in a press release that flights connecting Copenhagen (CPH) and Nuuk (GOH) will commence on June 27, 2025, operating three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
Anko van der Werff, President and CEO of SAS, expressed enthusiasm about the increased connectivity between Greenland, Scandinavia, and global destinations through their SkyTeam alliance. He noted that the new route caters to the growing demand for unique and adventurous travel experiences, while solidifying Copenhagen's role as a crucial hub for Scandinavian connections worldwide. Moreover, Scandinavian Airlines has forged a commercial partnership with Air Greenland, further expanding access to their comprehensive global network and enhancing travel connections to and from Greenland.
The launch of this new route coincides with the opening of Nuuk's International Airport on November 28, 2024, marking Scandinavian Airlines' long-awaited return to Greenland after more than twenty years. Despite being a less conventional destination for adventure seekers, Greenland holds tourism as a vital component of its economy, as highlighted on the country's official website. Notably, National Geographic recently recognized Greenland as one of the top 25 places to visit in 2025, spotlighting its allure for intrepid travelers seeking unique and unforgettable experiences.
