In an exciting development, Indian low-cost carrier IndiGo has unveiled its new IndiGoStretch product, marking a significant move towards enhancing the flying experience for its passengers. The much-anticipated business class-like offering is set to transform travel on the airline's trunk domestic routes in India, catering especially to the needs of frequent business travelers.

At the forefront of this innovation is the premium section located at the front of the aircraft, featuring RECARO premium seats in a two-two configuration for added comfort and space. These seats boast 38 inches of pitch, generous recline, and adjustable headrests, providing passengers with a truly luxurious experience. What's more, the seats come equipped with wider armrests that house electronic device holders and 60-watt USB-Type C in-seat power sockets for added convenience.

Beyond the physical comfort of the IndiGoStretch product, passengers can look forward to a host of additional services typically associated with a traditional business class. These include premium meal options curated by Oberoi Flight Services, priority check-in, advance seat selection, and a generous 30kg check-in baggage allowance, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable journey.

The first aircraft to be outfitted with IndiGoStretch, an Airbus A321neo bearing the registration VT-ICF, made its delivery flight from Hamburg-Finkenwerder to Delhi on October 30, 2024. It is slated to commence operations on the Delhi-Mumbai route starting November 14, 2024, setting the stage for a new era of premium travel within the region. Over the next 18 months, IndiGo plans to introduce 45 A320-family aircraft equipped with the IndiGoStretch product, further enhancing the passenger experience across its network.
